Complex Care

At The Liac Group, our Complex Care service is designed to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health conditions who may present with behaviours that challenge or have historically required specialist intervention.
We understand that complex needs require more than just care—they require insight, structure, and skill. That’s why our support teams are:

  • Trained in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed approaches
  • Experienced in using physical intervention techniques and de-escalation models that focus on non-abusive, person-led practices
  • Supported by clinicians and behaviour specialists who ensure safe, consistent, and respectful care delivery

Our Complex Care Offer Includes:

  • Structured support for individuals with dual diagnosis (e.g. learning disability and mental health need)
  • Bespoke support plans created in partnership with the individual, their circle of support, and relevant professionals
  • Crisis prevention planning and the use of clearly defined escalation procedures
  • Ongoing clinical oversight and behavioural reviews to promote stability and progression
  • We work closely with Local Authorities, NHS teams, and private providers to enable people with complex needs to live safely and meaningfully in the community, often reducing reliance on restrictive environments or hospital placements.

Our Approach

Our approach is underpinned by a belief that every individual has the right to live in an environment where they feel safe, valued, and in control of their life. Our interventions have supported individuals to:

Reduce incidents of distress or aggression

Build trusting relationships

Access education, employment, and social opportunities

Transition from secure or residential settings into more independent living arrangements
